No I am not making this up. I found the article on CNN and here is the link CNN Brown Fat Article. The article originally came from Health Magazine.
Here’s the first paragraph:”Brown adipose tissue (called brown fat) helps babies, young children, and other small mammals stay warm by burning calories when activated by low temperatures. Scientists have been skeptical that adults retain significant amounts of brown fat on their bodies. But the new research shows that many of us — perhaps even most — do.”
Okay, that eliminates me. I can’t handle temperatures under 75.
And…if this theory were true then how come there are fat people in Alaska and skinny people in Florida? Interesting…does this mean people will start getting brown fat injections, or what?
